Tired of grabbing the same old burger when you need a quick bite to eat? Your best bet is to stop by Long John Silver’s for some scrumptious fish or chicken. This fast-food chain is one of the few spots that specialize in seafood, serving up fried and grilled entrees and great sides for over five decades—and even though there’s no official Long John Silver’s secret menu, you can still get creative with your order with sauces and toppings.

Although no true Long John Silver’s secret menu exists, there are several new and exciting things to try if you’ve tried everything on the classic menu. With fish tacos and even several grilled shrimp and fish items, there’s always something new to try. Having trouble deciding what to get? You could always get the variety platter and have a little bit of everything!

Official secret menu vs. customer creations?

If you’re looking for delicious fish, shrimp or chicken, Long John Silver’s has you covered. They even let you make some simple modifications to your order if you ask. Many of these modifications won’t cost you anything extra, as all you’re doing is substituting sauces to switch up the flavors. Here are some simple ways to experience some new tasty delights:

  • The Wild Alaska Pollock Sandwich is topped with tartar sauce and pickles. Give this dish some unique flavor by substituting Baja sauce for the tartar sauce. It turns a simple sandwich into a zesty experience!
  • Love the taste and texture of shrimp, but looking for a healthy way to enjoy it? Try the Grilled Shrimp Tacos but go easy on the Baja sauce or skip it entirely. It’s a healthy way to enjoy this tasty dish, and you’ll get to enjoy the full flavor of the shrimp.
  • The Grilled Salmon is a healthy option with a lot of taste, but a little sauce on the side can really make it great. Ask for some sweet chili sauce on the side to give this dish a tangy kick.

How to order from the Long John Silver’s secret menu

Don’t be disappointed by the lack of a Long John Silver’s secret menu – there’s plenty to like about the variety on the regular menu. You can’t beat the classic fried Fish & Shrimp platter with that crispy coating and melt-in-your-mouth seafood. The chicken, covered in that same delicious batter, is always a favorite, too. My husband doesn’t believe that I used to order scallops from LJS in Houston Tx on Stella link. Any chance I could prove him wrong?

Worked at a local LJS in Hanover Pa back in 1998. Absolutely loved the original fish sandwich. The roll, and the banana peppers with tartar and that delicious fish we all know and love. Would love to see that come back!! The wraps, OMG they were so good. Loved them can taste them right now. Another menu item I would love to have back. One more request for my please bring list is the original baked fish meal come back also. Perfect baked fish over savory rice blend with the green beans seasoned just right and can’t forget that little cob of sweet corn. Just thought I’d try to beg for some of the old flavors to come back to menu. Please. Thank you!!
