Hello and welcome to Menus4You!
We’re a group of adults who grew up in typical middle-class Midwestern families, where our moms ran the kitchen and somehow kept us well-fed despite the constant hustle and bustle of our households. Back then, our family food budgets were tight, so dining out wasn’t about fancy four-star restaurants, but about finding places that were affordable and offered hearty portions for growing kids.
We’re also the generation of mall outings and family road trips (think National Lampoon’s Vacation), which opened up a whole new world of dining options. Before the internet, our primary entertainment was hanging out at the mall, sometimes even treating ourselves to a “fancy” date at places like Kenny Rogers Roasters.
Collectively, we’ve embarked on family car adventures across all 48 states, making us quite the experts on affordable dining—whether it was fast food, fast casual (though that term didn’t exist back then), or other budget-friendly spots to grab a bite. While our tastes have evolved over the years, we still hold a wealth of knowledge and memories about family-friendly food options that satisfy appetites without breaking the bank.
Over time, we’ve shared many laughs about our expertise in fast, affordable dining and the memorable experiences we’ve had along the way. With some of us naturally inclined to writing, we thought it would be great to share our insights with modern families, along with a touch of nostalgia for restaurants that are no longer around (remember Burger Chef or Chi-Chi’s?). And so, Menus4You.com was born. What began as a collection of fast food stories has evolved into a broader exploration of the dining experience, with a focus on affordability and fun.
Kyle
Kyle is a long-time content writer with experience across a wide breadth of topics—including food and dietary wellness. Gluten- and lactose-sensitive, Kyle brings a unique perspective to writing about fast food, to help others with dietary restrictions better-navigate the menus of major fast food chains. His favorite fast food chain is Chipotle.
Sabrina
Sabrina is a blogger who lends her talents to a variety of food, retail and pop-culture websites. She enjoys writing about new trends and current happenings, which translates well to the ever-changing menus of major fast food companies. When she’s not typing away at home, you’ll find her in a local coffee shop. Her favorite fast food chain is Panda Express.
Matt
Matt has more than a decade traveling across the United States. He’s always on the road, writing about the history and culture of America. As a result, he’s also a well-traveled fast food connoisseur! From Southern chains like Bojangles to Northern classics like Culver’s, Matt has tried them all. His favorite fast food chain is In-n-Out Burger.
