Spicy food lovers unite! McDonald’s has recently brought back its incredibly popular spicy Chicken McNuggets. Featuring that famous Chicken McNugget breading, seasoned with cayenne and chili pepper, these tasty items are perfect for those who love a kick of heat with their nuggets. If you didn’t get the chance to try these delectable nuggets last time they made an appearance, go grab some now before they disappear again!

History of the Spicy Chicken McNuggets

Since the introduction of Chicken McNuggets in the 1980s, McDonald’s has largely kept the flavor the same, save for introducing a few choice dipping sauces. However, in 2020, the popular fast-food restaurant took things in a different direction by introducing Spicy Chicken McNuggets to the menu. This paid off in spades. Within a few weeks of their debut, McDonald’s locations across the country sold out!

As if they weren’t delicious enough on their own, Spicy Chicken McNuggets also debuted alongside a new dipping sauce, dubbed Mighty Hot Sauce. It was a pricy combination that kicked up both the heat and the flavor, and people couldn’t get enough of it! McDonald’s took note and alluded to a future when Spicy McNuggets would return.

“If our customers truly can’t get enough, there’s always a chance we’ll bring limited-time menu items back in the future,” McDonald’s revealed. “You never know, you might just see some of these fan-favorites again soon.”

Thankfully, McDonald’s kept true to its word. As of April 2022, Spicy McNuggets are currently available at 6,900 McDonald’s locations across the United States!

Ordering Spicy Chicken McNuggets

Ordering options and prices for Spicy Chicken McNuggets vary depending on the location. That said, most McDonald’s locations offer these delicious nuggets as a six-, ten-, 20- or 40-piece options. Don’t forget to add one or more of McDonald’s famous dipping sauces. Options include Spicy Buffalo Sauce, Tangy Barbecue Sauce, Creamy Ranch Sauce or Honey Mustard Sauce. Sorry, no Mighty Hot Sauce available for this go-round!

There’s currently no combo option for Spicy McNuggets, either. However, you could easily add a small order of French fries for $1.39 and a small soft drink for $1.00. Other items featured on the $1, $2, $3 Value Menu include the McDouble, McChicken and Chicken McNuggets.
